The Planned Parenthood Action Fund along with several other progressive groups have launched a six-figure ad campaign attacking President Trump’s Supreme Court pick Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh.

The campaign, titled #DearSenators, encourages voters to share their personal abortion stories and to urge their congressmen to block Judge Kavanaugh’s confirmation for the purported threat he poses to Roe v. Wade.

The ad buy, which will primarily target voters in Alaska and Maine, features testimonials from women about the importance of Roe v. Wade and how the future of the landmark decision that legalized abortion hangs in the balance, The Daily Beast reported.

“While politicians like Sen. [Mitch] McConnell and President Trump may see this as a political game, for millions of Americans, the fight over Kavanaugh is personal,” Carmen Berkley, managing director of Planned Parenthood Action Fund, the organization’s PAC, said in a statement. “The constitutional right to have an abortion is at stake. Our ability to get health care and to live free of discrimination is at stake.”

The campaign also includes a new website that guides women on how to contact their senators and encourages them to submit their stories to “make your voice heard.”

“We deserve the freedom and opportunity to control our bodies and our lives,” the website states. “Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, Judge Brett Kavanaugh, is unfit to serve a lifetime on our highest court.”

Progressive groups Stand Up for America, Advocates for Youth and the National Women’s Law Center have joined Planned Parenthood in launching the campaign.
